I took [livejournal.com profile] dr_tectonic's advice, and thanks to www.20000-names.com, here's a better study of those results. We're still not at the level I'd quite like to be, but it's getting there.

And by popular request...



Well, we've gone from 2.18 authors on average back in the day to an average of 3.52 nowadays. That's an incredible increase of 1.34 authors over just 21 conferences. If this trend continues, by 2022 we'll have an amazing 4.54 authors per paper, and over 1.22 of them will be Jonathan Grudin! Hmm, maybe not.

Some gender work on this to come. Also, I think I can think of a nice way to visualize this data in full richness, but Excel, needless to say, won't do it. Maybe I'll come up with something. Don't count on this.
